Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 Effective: 30 August 2026 Last Updated: 30 August 2026
1. Data Controller
EuroRadios ("EuroRadios", "we", "us", "our") is the data controller responsible for your personal data. EuroRadios is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — to be configured], with registered address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS — to be configured].
For data protection enquiries, contact [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL — to be configured].
2. Categories of Personal Data
EuroRadios processes the following categories of personal data:
- Account information: your name, email address, and account preferences when you create a EuroRadios account.
- Station owner information: organisation name, contact person details, and station profile content submitted by radio station owners and authorised managers.
- Contact form information: name, email address, subject, and message body when you submit a contact form.
- Claim / ownership information: claimant name, email, organisation, role, phone, website, and proof of ownership information submitted during station claim verification.
- Technical information: IP address (where applicable and logged for security/rate-limiting), device type, browser type, operating system, and standard server logs.
- Usage data: listening history, favourites, page interactions, and feature usage tied to your account.
- Billing data: when you subscribe to Premium, the payment provider (PayPal or Stripe) processes your payment. EuroRadios receives subscription status, plan identifiers, and provider-assigned identifiers — not your full card details.
- Consent data: your cookie consent choices and consent version.
3. Purposes of Processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Providing the radio discovery, streaming, and station management services.
- Managing user accounts, authentication, and account preferences.
- Processing Premium subscriptions and billing.
- Enabling station claims, ownership verification, and station management.
- Processing contact form submissions and support requests.
- Ensuring platform security, preventing fraud and abuse, and rate-limiting.

- Improving the platform through aggregate analytics, where enabled and consented.
- Complying with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
We rely on the following legal bases under applicable data protection law:
- Contractual necessity: processing necessary to provide the service you requested (account creation, streaming, station management).
- Legal obligation: processing required to comply with applicable law (e.g., fraud prevention, tax records for billing).
- Legitimate interests: platform security, rate-limiting, and preventing abuse.
- Consent: optional analytics, optional data sharing for recommendations, and non-essential cookies/tracking technologies.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
EuroRadios uses local storage for essential functionality (theme, language, country, favourites, authentication session). Non-essential tracking technologies are only used with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
6. Advertising and Third-Party Services
EuroRadios may display advertisements. Advertisements are delivered through:
- Direct advertiser campaigns managed via the EuroRadios advertising platform.
- Google AdSense as a fallback when no direct campaign is available.
- House ads promoting EuroRadios features.
Ad impressions are logged anonymously (no email, name, or phone). Frequency capping uses either your user ID (if logged in) or an anonymous session hash stored in local storage. Premium listeners are excluded from all advertising.
Third-party services used by EuroRadios include:
- PayPal and Stripe — payment processing for Premium subscriptions.
- Google AdSense — advertising (where enabled and no direct campaign exists).
- Google Analytics — usage analytics (where enabled and consented).
- Third-party radio station streams — served by their respective broadcasters.
7. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted upon account deletion.
- Listening history and favourites: retained with your account and deleted when your account is deleted.
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 24 months for support and audit purposes.
- Claim and ownership information: retained for the duration of the station's listing and for up to 24 months after the claim is resolved or the station is removed.
- Billing records: retained for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law.
- Server logs: retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.
- Ad impression data: retained for up to 12 months for analytics and billing verification.
8. Data Recipients and Processors
Your personal data may be processed by the following categories of recipients:
- Payment providers (PayPal, Stripe) — for processing Premium subscription payments.

- Advertising providers (Google AdSense) — for serving display ads, where enabled.
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Base44 analytics) — where enabled and consented.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
9. International Transfers
EuroRadios is hosted on the Base44 platform, which may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place. Payment providers (PayPal, Stripe) may also process data outside the EEA under their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Security
EuroRadios implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.
